ADI Alexandria Youth Orchestra / Weekly Coaching Workshops
Open to area youth, these orchestras provide students with a quality orchestral experience. As a project of Access Through the Arts, The Alexandria Youth Orchestra is open to all musicians ages 10-25. No audition. The ability to read music is required. Musicians over age 25 may be admitted by permission. Semester concludes with Season Concerts for all orchestras held at the ADI Landmark Mall Center. String Chamber Orchestra (1)CH, ages 10 -16 Open to string instruments Sundays (weekly) 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. $30* String Chamber Orchestra (2)CH, ages 17 -25 Open to string instruments Sundays (weekly) 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. $30* Symphony Orchestra, (3) SH ages 12 and up Open to winds, horns, strings and percussion Sundays (weekly) II ON HOLD II 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. $20* *discount on ADI fees: 2nd member 25%,3rd member 50% only from same family, same day of classes The payments for the tuition are TAX-DEDUCTABLE. Educated at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, he has performed with numerous soloists, including Mstislav Rostropovich, Lazar Berman, and Igor Oistrakh. |
